Ootd Inspirations

Some of you may know that I started Ootd Inspirations by making outfit combination to inspire people how they can turn their boring outfits around. So I went back to my roots and put together 3 simple ways to change up a basic outfit you can easily find in your wardobe! First, you will need the base. I picked this grey Satin top from Atmosphere for a more glam up look but you can definitely opt for a basic white button down! Then I just picked up my favorite pair of ripped jeans for a more defined and chic "Friday night look". The best thing about these 3 outfits is they would go well with just any pair of your favorite denim ( you may even go for shorts!). I wore these 100% comfortable and chic chunky heels from ChristyNg which I am officially obessed with because the chunky heels give so much support to my feet and the soles made it even better. For many couples, Valentines is all about roses, candle light dinner and grand romantic gestures. But for my boyf, it has always been about being practical so he planned for a short getaway to our neighbouring states which I really enjoyed so much! Our 4 days 3 nights trip started from the North in Penang. The 4 hours drive completely drained us although I was pretty much only in charge of taking "accidental" naps while the boyf did all the driving 😜 I was really looking forward to cafe hopping in Penang because I have seen so many of their scenic cafes on Instagram and they left me in awe! So our first stop was the iconic China House which takes pride as the longest cafe in Penang. I have never came across a concept cafe like this one with cakes, coffee, art gallery, mexican food annnd live band performance at night! I managed to take a few shots in different parts of China House and ended up trying their cakes which smelled and looked so good I swear.   ...

  I have been eyeing on this pinstripe culottes ever since I saw them on my favorite bloggers. It was love at first sight because the striking colours blend so well together and the pinstripes are in vertical form so it elongates any silhouette. Of course the outfit would have already been Insta-worthy with a simple tube or bandeau top and belt, but I wanted to add a little edginess with my favoriteeeeee denim jacket from She In ( also because I am feeling a litte down with the weather). In these photos I was wearing my new pumps from AMI Clubwear  but later on I popped into my most trusted Stan Smiths since I was expecting a long day of walking ahead. Sorry for the long hiatus, I was too bothered by the release of my exam results that I even wore the same shorts out for 2 days. Well to be fair, they are denim and it's "scientifically" proven that you should not wash your denim apparels often because it damages it. (Read more here ) #Excuses Anyway I received these denim jacket from She In a week ago and I must really say that I am obsesssed. I know I was wearing a denim jacket in my previous post too but that was of a totally different cutting and wash! This one from She In is thick and oversized so it gives out a more Korean fashion vibe rather than the lighter wash one that I already own. I also love how the color is dark enough to match all of my jeans! But what takes the cake is the functional outer AND inner pockets which I can safely place my phone in them or just tuck my hand in them for a OOTD shot. Third post of the week! #Accomplishement So life after uni is surprisingly... boring sometimes. And enduring with the anxiety of waiting for results to be out makes it even worse 😢 I try so hard not to think about it but I just can't get it out of my head. Ok rants aside. I have so much more time to dress up now! Those laced up heels I have been saving for special occasions are now my everyday shoes. Since we were just going out for brunch and some shopping, I put on my favorite stripes button down from H&M, some ripped shorts and my Stan Smith for a fool-proof ootd. I also threw on a denim jacket so it doesn't look too plain and did some serious accessorizing.
