Fun Fats Episode #3: Botanica & Co

Image
How did I end up having 3 episodes of Fun Fats in a row?! I guess that says alot about my priorities...   Last weekend I met up with Clarisse, my ride or die/ deskmates since high school as she came back from London. We decided on trying out Botanica & Co to see what is the hype all about!     Entrance to the restaurant     The Bar Table which was recommended by users on Zomato as the best seat. Didn't sit here though!   Homemade Muesli (RM21) We were doing brunch so Muesli feels just right! Drizzled with honey and a dollop of greek yoghurt, this bowl of goodness just opens up our taste buds for more. I love the generous amount and variety of nuts and the berry compote which is hidden in the middle of the muesli bowl. It may look small but it was VERY filling. We were only about half way through but we had to move on to the burger because we were both getting full. It took us sooo long to decide on the main course because our initial choice -

Fun Fats Episode #2 - Fuzio Bar & Ristorante

On this episode of Fun Fats, me and my mum decided to doll up and get to the city centre for a girls night out. Everyone in the family has severe fear of choosing what to eat, we decided to narrow down to Italian cuisine and use the Zomato app to hunt down a few Italian restaurants for us. We ended up choosing Fuzio among the rest because it had one of the highest ratings!   Once we stepped in, I was instantly impressed because you can feel a really cozy ambience as the restaurant was thoughtfully decorated. There were candles and wine glasses on each table and classic oldies playing which made it look as if we were stepping into a bar in Paris.      Although there were only 2 of us and neither did we order any fancy main course, they were no where stingy with the appetizer. After our order was taken, the friendly waiter quickly sent a tray of complimentary warm, fresh housemade breads our way. There were Italian Grissini Breadsticks ( the long and crunchy kind)

Welcome to the very first episode of #FunFats! ( Yes, it is a homonym for Fun Facts, ain't I funny?) As a person who has an undying passion for food, I sure take what I put in my mouth very seriously. If you take a look at my monthly spendings you will be surprised that I spend about 80% of my money on food and only about 20% on shopping. Priorities, right? So from here on, I will be introducing you guys some of my favorite restaurants, new food trends or even some of the recipes I use!   It's gonne be you, me and fats.   Disclaimer : I am naturally biased towards Japanese food. Very, very biased.     So for the last weekend, I paid a visit to Kaiju Company @APW Bangsar which is a japanese and thai fusion restaurant. I found out about Kaiju via some random people on Instagram Explore when I was just stalking people (guilty). The presentation looked impeccable and I loved the interior design of the place so I decided to check it out to see if it is worth the hyp

Sweater Weather

Living in a tropical country, a sweater could be the most impractical number to own in one's wardrobe. But yours truly here is a big sucker for thick, knitted and oversized sweaters PLUS a hoarder so you can imagine how many sweaters I have collected over the years. Pearl white, beige white, beige, all kinds of texture and colors but the only place I could wear them was my campus library. So since I will not be wearing it often, I had to go for a more subtle and versatile color tone so I can get the maximum wear out of it. This sweetest shade of lilac makes the perfect addition to my wardrobe. You would think that lilac is hard to pull off, but it goes so well with denim doesn't it? I would so wear them with some black leather skirt as well.  And I am so digging the whole embroidery jeans trend! They speak so much for an outfit in the easiest way. You can find a similar one from She In here and here  which are both gorgeous.  I also jumped on the Mule Loafers b
